Insight Unsought

Lushh has just wrapped up the performative component of a massive project we've been working on for the better part of a year, a multimedia presentation called "Insight Unsought". It's been absolutely exhausting, but also incredibly rewarding! I wrote the music and a portion of the poetry, and in addition to Lushh we had a wind quartet, vocals, interactive projection, live painting, and the great Alex Tobin working behind the scenes to make the sound and recording process happen, as well as producing the event. If you're interested in pre-ordering the audio and/or video recording, or if you'd just like to know more about the event, check out the Facebook page here.

A day in the studio

Yesterday the Sam Pilnick Project went into the studio to record another album! This will be the second release, and featured some more of Sam's excellent writing and arranging, as well as original music by me and Meghan Stagl. I'm thrilled with how the session turned out, and I can't wait to hear the results! Keep an eye out for more information in the coming months, and be sure to come out to Arcadia Ales this Wednesday to catch the Pilnick Project live; this is the end of our almost two-year residency there, so don't miss it!

If you'd like to hear a preview of some of the music that made it into the session yesterday, check out the Pilnick Project's April session live in WMUK's Takeda Studio! Click here to listen
